Steps to a Stress-Free HolidayHey Readers~
Here we are at the holiday season and the end
of another year already. Since we are all clear that it will fly by faster than we can clean up the cookie
crumbs on the floor; we might as well get organized and take action now so we can enjoy the time that remains. Here are a
few quick tips:
1- Reminsce over past holidays- What worked and what
absolutely did not. Plan you holidays around what works for you and your family.
2-
Choose a theme to help you maintain focus on what you want- 'Simply Sensational', 'Faith and Family First',
'Be the Change You Wish to See in the World' (a quote by Mahatma Ghandi), whatever gets you excited.
3- Set your top priorities- Get crystal clear about what you really want and base your
top 4 priorities off of that. Then you will be prepared to set strong boundaries and say 'yes' or 'no' to the requests
that come your way.
4- Create a Map- Get the 'to do's' and things
you need to pick up out of your head and into a system. You can pick up a Holiday Task list on this page or use
your own system. Just get the clutter out of your head and into a system. So you can plot your direction while saving
time and money. 5- Simplify- Keep it simple. Let go. Do it,
delegate it, or dump it. This will give you the space to embrace what you truly enjoy. 6-
Set a budget- Develop a budget that is comfortable to you and helps you to enjoy the holidays and start the
new year strong.
7- Set boundaries- Decide up front how you
will handle requests? Consider taking 24 hours to consider any offer to get involved. How does it relate to your top
priorities?
8- Schedule time for planning and yourself- Work your
plan daily and review it weekly. Keep appointments to review your plan. It will ave you time, money, and provide peace of
mind.
9- Give in a way that gives you joy vs. obligation- Stay away
from feelings of obligation and give in ways that come naturally to you and bring you fulfillment.
10- Take action now- Begin! Begin today! Take action... take action... take action. Then prop
you feet up, sip you hot cocoa, and enjoy the festivities early this year. You can read more of this article
full out on the Ezines page if you need more details. Happy Holidays... and remember... we are all capable of
so much more! ~ Beth
